How to Buy a Radiator

There are a lot of factors to consider when buying a radiator. The room it’s intended for, its suitability for your decor and the heat it needs to provide are all important factors. To help, we’ve put together a guide to buying radiators online or in-person in five easy steps.

1. Confirm Your Heat Output Requirements

It is essential you know how much heat you will need as this will determine the size of your radiators.

To find out more about BTUs view our BTU Calculator page for a quick guide. However, we recommend you check outputs with your installer before making a purchase.

To work out your required BTU please use our calculator below:

2. Choose Your Design

Select from over 52 exclusive and affordable designs.

Our range has everything from traditional cast iron and steel radiators to modern feature radiators. We even sell an environmentally-friendly aluminium range made from recycled materials.

Each of our stylish radiators comes in an extensive choice of sizes, colours and outputs.

3. Choose the Colour You Want

With over 230 colours and special finishes to choose from you are never short of options, whether it's matching your colour scheme, or creating a contrasting feature.

To help choose your colour most radiators and towel rails belong to a colour group which is shown in the overview section of their respective page.

You can also look at all our colour groups within the finishes page where you can see all colours and products available in each group.

4. Find a Valve

To complete the look and really finish off your chosen design, choose from our wide selection of radiator valves and add any accessories that complement your choice. We recommend using TRV valves in all living rooms and bedrooms to maximise the efficiency of your radiators.

Please remember valves will increase the overall width of your radiator unless you select underneath (B2) connections.
